Monster Art & Clothing is a unique shop dedicated to supporting local artists and sustainable goods. Located in Old Town Ballard, on the corner of Ballard Ave and 20th. Monster is a colorful, playful space created to taunt the inner child. We have local artwork, clothing for men, women, and children, fun accessories, and very unique greeting cards… not to mention a huge wall of socks. Great gift ideas at affordable prices, so you can afford to treat yourself as well!
In our current location since August of 2008, Monster proudly shares the unique works of over 50 artists and crafters with the Seattle area. We have a new guest artist every month, plus we’re always bringing in new creations from local talents. Monster exists as an interactive environment like the markets and festivals, where the separation between creator and consumer is as small as possible. Stop by and meet our family of artists who make our space so special. We’re waiting to share their stories with you!

Tara Monster Owner of Monster. Creator of the Revival Ink clothing line. Can be found at Monster on the 2nd Saturday of the month for the Ballard Art Walk. When she’s not drawing, screen printing, or organizing her sock collection, she enjoys shenanigans with the Burning Man locals, wearing costumes, and creating random acts of art.

Jessie Beans Manager at Monster. Creator of Jessie Beans Accessories. Resident DJ at Monster’s Art Walks. Can be found at Monster Monday through Thursday. Her current endeavors include: fronting a band called Velvet Doll, DJ-ing weddings and art events, and lately performing in a bit of theatre as well. Busy girl!

Sarah aka Goody Goody Sarah is a talented aerialist who has been performing on silks hanging from Monster's ceiling for the Ballard Art Walk since we opened. She enjoyed her time at Monster so much, that now she works here on Fridays and Saturdays. Come see her perform during the upcoming August and Sept. Art Walks of 2015.
